Shahnameh is one of the best Iranian cultural heritage sources and one 
of the literary master works in the world. This book is full of moral, cultural 
and deductive teaching which are of great benefit not only to adults but 
also 
adolescents who need to be familiar with Shahnameh to get acquainted with 
their national identity. Shahnameh familiarizes adolescents with the 
civilization, cultural and glorious history of Iran. This familiarity 
necessitates innovative rewriting of 
this valuable work. This study thus aims 
to compare a number of regenerated texts of Shahnameh in terms of the 
major story principles, (plot, characterization, theme and point of view) to 
investigate the differences and similarities of the structures of th 
e original 
texts with the regenerated ones in order to determine principles and 
methods of innovative regeneration and simplification beneficial to 
adolescents
