Although autobiography is an independent literary genre born in Western literature, but in the mystical texts of Persian literature, signs, paradigms and examples of the literary genre of autobiography can be found, most of which have not been studied and assessed independently. The treatise "Shakv al-Gharib" by Ain al-Qazat Hamdani's (492-525) is often analyzed as complaint in typological studies, in this research the text of Shakv al-Gharib has been analyzed and compared with the literary genre of autobiography based on Philippe Lejeune's (b.1938) theory from the structure and content perspective. The obtained textual evidences show that some parts of the text of Shakv al-Gharib contain autobiographical patterns, and based on the four indicators provided by Philippe Lejeune, they are in considerable agreement with the autobiographical literary genre. The identified text samples, like the autobiographical texts, are the narrator of parts of the author's personality, life, era, and inner state. The results of the research confirm the assumption of the existence of early examples and paradigm of autobiography in the mystical prose literature of Iran and their evolution.
